Unity Bachelor Challenge - Week 2

WHoooooooooooooHooooooooooooooo!! Unity Stamp Company is having another awesome challenge!! It's called the Unity Bachelor Bro Challenge. Each week, for 7 weeks, the have a different challenge and Bachelor Bro (sigh*) will pick two cards for the winner! One winner and a runner up!

Here is what you win (straight from the website):

"The WINNER goes into the final round in week 7 to qualify for the HUGE $750 PRIZE AND ALSO will get a PRIZE PACKAGE of 12 pieces of Patterned Paper and a Grab Bag of 25 Stamps.

The RUNNER UP gets a GRAB BAG of 25 stamps.

You can be a WINNER only ONCE - however you can be a RUNNER UP MORE than once.

ANYONE CAN PLAY ALONG. They can OPT TO PLAY every week or NOT. However they can only be picked by Broman ONE TIME. The women that BROMAN picks as the WINNER will automatically go to the FINAL ROUND.

If you are a winner ONE TIME you cannot win again till the LAST WEEK for the BIG $750 PRIZE. The LAST WEEK there will be only 7 participants. The final week participants are the 7 Women that Broman picks in the next 7 weeks according to the CHALLENGES Unity posts each Thursday.

Wow...Its been a while since my last post! Between being sick and getting my basement organized, I finally made a card to show you!

This was for my boss' birthday. I love this technique! It's called the Flip Top.

I absolutely love my Unity Kit of the Month. This card is made out of the most recent kit I have (June). I'm waiting anxiously for my July Kit!! I started my new diet and I have been craving ice cream! So I thought this card was very fitting!!

Someone So Special....

I'm finally settled into my new house and slowly unpacking and organizing my new craft room. I've had a couple of wedding orders to get done which has slowed down my progress of my craft room, but that's the way it goes.

On to crafty business....

One of my co-worker's brother passed away and I wanted to make her a sympathy card. I hate making them because it is depressing, but I want her to know that I am thinking of her at this time. I cased a card I found on Amy Shaffer's blog and this is what I came up with.

CTMH - Flower Girls

Hi Everyone!

I don't know why, but I pulled this set that I got awhile ago and decided to creat with it. I don't know why I don't use it more. It's so pretty. The flower is made of some scrap paper I had that I pulled through my Cuttlebug and stack on each other with a button for the center. Who doesn't have buttons that they don't know what to do with??!! Well here you go!

So some exciting news about me! My boyfriend Sean of almost five years got enough guts to ask me to marry him! I am so excited!! We really haven't set a date yet, but we are thinking sometime next year. We have a couple of ideas floating around and I will keep you informed on all the details! As soon as I get a decent pic of the ring, I'll shar it will you!

Thanks a Bunch! - Cafe Mojo Ribbon/Lace Challenge

Hi Everyone! I made these cards for the Cafe Mojo "Mocho Mojo" Challenge. We had to use our "Stash of Ribbon or Lace"

On my first card I used my Verve Visual stamp set "Grateful Elegance". I love the little flowers in this set!

On this card, I got to use my new Copic Airbrush gun. I fell in love with it!! It's so much fun! I used my Verve Visual stamp set "Thankful Blossoms" and cut out the flowers and used Martha Stewart's Fire opal glitter on them.

Sieze The Cupcake!

Here's a fun project!! I love cupcakes..(who doesn't right??) I found this idea in the magazine Paper Creations. I was standing in line at my local Hobby Lobby store and I saw the magazine. I usually don't buy them because they are so expensive, but this one had cupcakes on it and since the line wasn't going anywhere, I picked it up and started perusing. Well, I ended up using my 40% off coupon on the magazine because it was loaded with awesome ideas. This cupcake being one of them.

I made a tutorial over at the Cafe Mojo blog if you are interested in step-by-step instructions.

Have fun and be creative if you decide to make one. I would love to see what you come up with!

So last night I was sitting at my desk wondering what I could make and I remembered that I need to make a card for one of the girls at work. So because I had no idea what to make, I was off looking for my "mojo". I saw this card and decided to "case" and make it my own. Hope you like it!

What a busy year 2008 was!! The end of the year is always really busy for us because of the holiday and family get togethers. I finally have had time to breathe!

Just some updates:

1. Sean is back in school going for his Master's in Psy. He is doing really great. He was a little worried about going back after being out of school for four years, but he is doing a stellar job! Already an A average student. That's my man!! Starbuck has really help the late night studies!

2. EXCITING NEWS!! I'm now a member of the Cafe Mojo Design Team! Whoop! Whoop! Each week will have a different theme, i.e. Theme, Tool, Stash, and Technique. If you would like to participate in the challenges, just follow this link over to Paper Craft Planet to join in!

3. I actually had time to make some cards!! Whoo Hoo! Hope you enjoy! More to come later

Dare to be Fab

This card was really easy to make although it was very intimidating at first!! It's called the Pop-Up Card and you can watch the tutorial over at Dawn's blog or click here for her video. I love her voice. It's so sweet and her card is B-E-A-utiful!

I used my Fab Flowers set from SU. The rest is just scrap paper I had in my box. I embossed the flower in white and then used a sponge and chalk to go over it. I stamped it three time and cut it out and added pop-up dots between each layer.

SCS Color Challenge Tuesday - Tangerine Pixie Kisses

This was a fun challenge from SCS - Tuesday Color Challenge CC190. I used some scrap cardstock along with my Penny Black Beautiful Day stamp. I colored her with Copics and colored pencils. The sentiment is a dollar stamp from Archiver's.

SCS SC200 - B&W Happy Birthday

I made this for my little sister's 20th birthday next week. I followed the Tuesday Challenge over at SCS. I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder for the top of the card and then used my Doodlebug Floral Fancy DP for the bottom. The squares are also made with my CB and the flower are from the Stampendousset called Flower Tops. I dusted them with glitter and added gemstone and then popped them on top of the squares.

Triangle Box - Butterfly

I'm trying to catch up on all the challenges over at SCS. This is the Triangle Box that was a challenge for Wednesday. Directions for it are at this link. I used some scrap cardstock and use my Basic Grey Medallion Stamps with my Versamark ink pad for the background. The Butterfly is Basic Grey's Bohemia stamp inked with Color Box Chalk ink in Wisteria. I added gemstones and Liquid Pearls for the tail.

Joy Fold - Beauty of Dreams

This was a fun card to make. I love this saying and I thought the colors were great for the season we are in!

This technique is called the Joy Fold. Beate gives a great tutorial on this at Splitcoasters.

I used Timber Brown Stazons ink and added clear embossing powder over the sentiment.

Although you can't see, I outlined the butterfly in Martha Stewart's copper glitter. I also used Martha's border punch. Paper is KC and Company.

Happy Birthday Card and My First Entry

Hello Everyone!

I'm so excited to have my very own blog now! It's has been great looking at everyone else's so I have decided to play the sharing game and start my own.

My first card I would like to share with you has been created with my new Penny Black stamp. I still need to get better at taking pictures but that will be changing soon when I get my new camera!! WHOOOO!!

This stamp was colored with a mixture of Prisma colored pencils and Copic markers. I only have about 7 Copics. They are really expensive and I'm still saving for them. Maybe that will be a good Christmas gift from my hunnie this year! I added Stickles and bling for the final touch.
